Tenants and workspace capacity
Purpose and access
A tenant is the operational workspace associated with users, data assets and commercial settings. Tenants provides a directory of workspaces and their capacity. Confirm that your role permits tenant viewing or management, as appropriate. Creating a tenant and creating a user are separate operations; one should not be assumed to complete the other.
The inventory includes Tenant, Type, Parent, Plan, Usage / limits, Capacity and Status. A displayed plan name is a commercial or administrative attribute. Check the applicable subscription and entitlement details before concluding what a tenant can use.
Inspect a tenant
- Open Tenants and search for the workspace by its displayed name or identifier.
- Use column filters to separate organization, individual or reseller tenants, or to inspect a status or capacity state.
- Read Usage / limits with its units. Seats, monthly jobs and storage measure different resources and should not be added together.
- Open View details to confirm the tenant's identity, parent relationship, plan, status and configured limits.
- Use Columns, Rows, Previous and Next as needed. Wide data remains inside the table's scrolling area.
Create or maintain a tenant
- Select New tenant, or Edit tenant for an existing row.
- Set Name and the appropriate Type: Organization, Individual or Reseller.
- Select Parent reseller when a supported reseller relationship applies. Direct customer indicates that no parent reseller is selected.
- Choose Status, Plan, Seats, Monthly jobs and Storage MB using the values authorized for this workspace.
- Review the complete form, submit once and wait for the result.
- Refresh or reopen the tenant and confirm the resulting status, relationship and capacity values.
Use Suspend tenant and Reactivate tenant only after reviewing the affected workspace and expected availability. These are administrative status changes, not a migration of the tenant's objects. Inspect linked users and operational obligations before using bulk deletion.
Trials and lifecycle
A Trial status should be interpreted with the subscription's dates and lifecycle information. To inspect or extend an eligible trial, open Subscription & billing, select the same tenant and use the supported Extend trial flow. Do not recreate a workspace to change its commercial status.
When reviewing a trial-to-paid transition, verify that the expected workspace remains selected and that subscription and entitlement information reflect the intended outcome. Commercial activity and infrastructure readiness are separate checks.
Acceptance and recovery
For a laboratory tenant named documentation-lab, verify the visible usage, limit units, plan and status after saving. A successful exercise preserves the intended workspace identity and confirms that unrelated memberships remain unchanged.
If a save or capacity read fails, inspect the visible message and reload the latest record before retrying. A warning or critical capacity indicator calls for investigation of the individual resource and applicable policy. It does not automatically justify increasing every limit.
Read Subscription and billing for commercial lifecycle, Preferences for limit policies and Cleanup and tenant lifecycle before destructive maintenance.
